Scale and Zoning

Two things change on a larger commercial site. The first is the ceiling: where there is no suspended grid, emitters cannot sit hidden in a plenum and are instead mounted in the open and aimed to reflect off surfaces, which changes spacing and the count. The second is zoning. A commercial office is usually divided by floor; a commercial site is divided by what each area does — a waiting room, a counter, a corridor, and a back office each carry their own level, and a level set for one of them will be wrong for the others. Boundaries are drawn during the survey, before anything is ordered, because moving them afterwards means moving emitters.

Installation on Commercial Sites

The survey covers ceiling construction and height, what is already in the void or on the structure, how the space divides by function, and when the site can actually be worked on. On a customer-facing floor that last point usually decides the schedule: installation runs before opening, after closing, or area by area behind a partition, so the space stays open.

Emitters and cabling go in, the generator is mounted at the rack or in a back-of-house closet, and zones are wired to the plan. Then the system is tuned — measured in each zone, adjusted for level and spectrum, with the space finished and furnished, because hard floors, glass, and open structure all change what a room does with sound. Pricing is labor plus material for one total figure, with a signed contract in place before work begins.

We accept cash, wire transfer, ACH, credit card, and check, as well as Zelle and Venmo, and we offer invoicing and business accounts for commercial clients. Depending on the size of the job, payment is typically a partial deposit up front with the balance collected on completion. Before starting, we require a signed contract and a tax exemption form if applicable.
