Block Unnecessary Sounds and Communicate Clearly and Securely
When several employees are on calls with customers at the same time in a loud, open office, holding a clear conversation can be difficult. Our office sound masking systems can be integrated into spaces where calls are frequent and caller privacy matters. White noise emitters and speakers are installed throughout the space, letting you adjust sound output based on the surrounding environment.
Sound masking also minimizes environmental distractions and reduces the chance of eavesdropping, which in turn can increase productivity in the workplace:
- Employees can lose as much as 86 minutes per day to noise distractions, and sound masking helps reduce them.
- Open floor plans are the new normal, and sound masking helps make the modern office more productive.
- Around 60% of office workers cite a lack of speech privacy as their main driver of dissatisfaction; sound masking helps protect speech privacy in both open and private spaces.
- Many offices are awkwardly quiet or uncomfortably loud, and sound masking helps create a balanced acoustic environment that keeps workers comfortable.
How Sound Masking Works

Sound masking adds a low, unobtrusive background sound engineered to match the frequencies of human speech, making nearby conversations harder to understand and reducing distraction. The sound is distributed evenly across the space so coverage stays consistent, without loud spots or dead zones. Because it resembles gentle airflow, it blends into the background rather than drawing attention.
For multi-room or multi-zone spaces, we set up independent acoustic zones that can be calibrated to different activity levels — for example, a quieter setting in private offices and a different level across an open call-center floor. Sound masking can also be installed alongside your existing phone or communication systems.
Where Sound Masking Helps
Sound masking is a good fit for open-plan offices with ongoing noise distractions, call centers where staff need clear conversations with customers, and HR, legal, or finance teams that need speech privacy without moving into enclosed offices. It works well where open floor plans make traditional acoustic barriers impractical, and where confidential calls with clients are at risk of being overheard by surrounding staff.
Our Installation Process and Pricing
Lock and Tech USA follows a clear, transparent process so you always know what to expect, with the system demonstrated to you before any final payment is collected.
We start with an on-site consultation to assess your space and acoustic goals, then design the system and schedule the installation. We arrive during the scheduled date and time, confirm the contact and scope of work, install and calibrate the system, and plan the timing with you to keep disruption to your operations to a minimum. When complete, we walk you through how to adjust and use the system, and final payment is collected at that point. Pricing is straightforward — labor plus material for one total price. All installations follow federal, state, and city regulations.
Warranty, Service Area, and Payment
Lock and Tech USA backs new installations with a 90-day mechanical warranty and a 12-month electrical warranty, covering both parts and labor. We provide installation within 75 miles of Midtown Manhattan and support extended zones, multiple locations, and multi-site service for clients with several properties. Phone and email support is available during business hours.
We accept cash, wire transfer, ACH, credit card, and check, as well as Zelle and Venmo, and we offer invoicing and business accounts for commercial clients. Depending on the size of the job, payment is typically a partial deposit up front with the balance collected on completion. Before starting, we require a signed contract and a tax exemption form if applicable.
