Since 1998, we’ve been securing homes and businesses across NYC and New Jersey with professional security solutions you can trust. Our licensed technicians provide 24/7 emergency service, using only the latest technology and backed by comprehensive warranties on all installations.

Lock and Tech USA designs and installs complete home automation lighting systems that give you centralized control over all the lighting in your property. Our solutions range from basic smart switch installations to whole-home systems with scene programming, automated schedules, and integration with security and climate control, and we walk you through the finished system before any final payment is collected.
Single-room automation provides convenient control for specific areas like home theaters, bedrooms, or kitchens. Multi-room systems coordinate lighting across spaces, enabling whole-home scenes like “Movie Night” dimming living areas while turning off unnecessary lights, or “Good Morning” gradually brightening bedrooms and kitchen lighting. Whole-home automation integrates all lighting with cameras, door locks, thermostats, and entertainment systems for a cohesive smart home.
Our systems include smartphone and tablet apps for remote operation, voice control with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri, wall-mounted touch panels, automated scheduling based on time or sunrise/sunset, occupancy sensors that activate lights when rooms are entered, and energy monitoring. Professional programming ensures intuitive operation that matches your daily routines.
Lock and Tech USA handles the full lighting automation project, from switches to scene programming, and ties it into your smart home. Our work includes:
We design and install lighting automation across a range of residential and commercial properties, scaled to the size and layout of the space:

Smart light switches replace traditional switches with intelligent controls offering remote operation, scheduling, and integration with your smart home. Lock and Tech USA installs smart switches throughout homes, upgrading lighting control without requiring complete rewiring in most applications.
Smart switch options include Wi-Fi switches that connect directly to your network without a hub, hub-based systems like Lutron Caséta or Philips Hue for coordinated multi-room control, Z-Wave and Zigbee switches that integrate with broader automation platforms, dimmer switches with adjustable brightness, and multi-way switches that control lights from several locations with smart synchronization.
Installation typically replaces existing switches, often completing a single-switch install in 30–45 minutes. Our electricians handle neutral-wire requirements when necessary, configure network connectivity, program switch settings, and integrate with your existing automation. We ensure proper load compatibility for reliable operation with LED, CFL, and incandescent lighting.
Smart dimmers add ambiance control for any activity, reduced brightness when full light isn’t needed, and gradual fade-on that prevents harsh changes. Professional installation ensures smooth operation without the flickering or buzzing common with improper installs.
Lighting automation goes beyond basic on/off, adding features that improve convenience, security, and energy efficiency. Lock and Tech USA programs custom scenes, schedules, and automated responses that match your lifestyle.
Scene programming creates preset lighting configurations activated with a single command — “Entertain” for dining and living areas, “Relax” dimming living spaces, “Bedtime” turning off first-floor lights while activating bedroom nightlights, “Away” varying lights to suggest occupancy during vacations, and “Wake Up” gradually increasing bedroom lighting to simulate sunrise.
Automated scheduling adjusts lighting based on time, sunrise/sunset, or occupancy. Lights can turn on before you arrive home, outdoor lighting activates at dusk, and unnecessary lights turn off when everyone leaves, with seasonal adjustment relative to natural daylight. Motion-activated lighting adds hands-free convenience in bathrooms, closets, pantries, and hallways, turning lights off after a period of no movement so they’re never left on in empty rooms.
Integration connects lighting with your other systems: a doorbell camera can activate entry lighting when visitors arrive, a security system can flash all lights during an alarm, and thermostats can coordinate with home/away status, creating a cohesive smart home experience.
Wireless lighting systems provide smart control without extensive rewiring, making automation practical for existing homes where running new wiring would be expensive or disruptive. Lock and Tech USA specializes in wireless solutions using Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, and proprietary protocols.
Wireless technologies let switches, dimmers, sensors, and hubs communicate without physical wiring connections. This allows adding smart switches where none existed, creating three-way control without running traveler wires, and relocating switches without electrical work. Battery-powered wireless switches mount anywhere, working as remotes or wall switches.
Popular wireless systems include Lutron Caséta for reliable RF communication and simple installation, Philips Hue for color-changing capabilities and a broad ecosystem, TP-Link Kasa for affordable Wi-Fi switches without a hub, and Leviton Decora Smart for traditional styling with smart features. Mesh systems like Z-Wave and Zigbee extend coverage by having each device relay the network, ensuring reliable operation even in large homes. Professional installation positions devices for comprehensive coverage and dependable communication.
Lock and Tech USA follows a clear, transparent process so you always know what to expect, with the system demonstrated to you before any final payment is collected.
We start with a consultation to understand your spaces, routines, and the scenes you want, then design the system and schedule the installation. We arrive during the scheduled date and time, confirm the contact and scope of work, handle all electrical work, network configuration, and programming, and plan the timing with you to keep disruption to a minimum. When complete, we walk you through the scenes and controls and help set up the app. Final payment is collected at that point. Pricing is straightforward — labor plus material for one total price. All installations follow federal, state, and city regulations.
Lock and Tech USA backs new installations with a 90-day mechanical warranty and a 12-month electrical warranty, covering both parts and labor. We provide installation within 75 miles of Midtown Manhattan and support extended zones, multiple locations, and multi-site service for clients with several properties. Phone and email support is available during business hours.
We accept cash, wire transfer, ACH, credit card, and check, as well as Zelle and Venmo, and we offer invoicing and business accounts for commercial clients. Depending on the size of the job, payment is typically a partial deposit up front with the balance collected on completion. Before starting, we require a signed contract and a tax exemption form if applicable.
Usually not. Most installs replace existing switches without major rewiring, and wireless solutions let us add smart control where running new wiring would be impractical. We handle neutral-wire requirements when needed.
We work with Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, and Zigbee switches and hub-based systems like Lutron Caséta and Philips Hue, plus TP-Link Kasa and Leviton Decora Smart, and integrate them with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.
